JBFC Rum Sampler weekend!

This sounds like a scary trip to me. Here are a few reminders of what can (or should I say will) happen when we dip into the fire water;

Multi Tipped Line Buy !

I just picked up a multi tip Rio line for my new March Brown 8 wt rod. Has a floating tip for emergers when a light presentation is required and 3 additional sinking tips (various inches per second sink) for throwing streamers. Can't wait for that new rod to take the largest fish at this years JBFC in NB. Watch out brookies.........here I come!

Mark.........you mention in the comment section getting your name on the trophy again this year and preventing the first 3-some winner. Why then did you decide to cast a second vote in my favour when asked to vote on the website? You're such a nice guy that way!

Rum Taster at River Oaks camp

I am interested in getting a group together for a trip to the River Oaks camp this coming weekend (Feb 20th). Every one brings a different rum. Beat those mid-winter no fishing blues. I'll check with B. Reid to see if the camp is available. Comment and let us know who's in!

Out with the old, in with the new!

I finally broke down and sold my 1985 LT230 Suzuki work horse for a newer 2003 Honda 350!

It was a happy day when I bought the Honda, but just as unhappy when a watched "ol' faithful" leaving my driveway for the last time. I'll miss the old girl.

My new Bessy will see lots of fishing trips and work down at the camp. I stayed with the fast orange colour, love it!

Phil B-day party/camp trip!

Whats crackin' brothers? Old Philly boy is turning 31 @ the end of Feb. and I think it's a great excuse for a trip to the camp. Who's in for a trip from Fri 27th-March 1st weekend? We'll have a trip meeting and "if" Barrie has any chores he wanted to get done we can do them. Let us know in comments.

JBFC Membership Nominations

After reviewing all JBFC membership status it has came to my attention that you all owe backed membership fees. Fees are payable during and JBFC union meetings or JBFC events in the form of beer or rum (preferable dark).

It has also come to my attention that one JBFC attendee should have been granted full JBFC membership status a few years ago but was not. I believe that his application must have gotten misplaced during a past "union meeting".

I here by nominate Mr. Micheal Reid to be given full membership status as a JBFC member with a membership status date effective as of May 1, 2005. With this membership comes many obligations and responsibilities that a fly fishermen must abide by. All in favor please leave a "yes" or "no" vote in the comment section of this post.
