Green River Day - 2
Here are a few pic's from day 2. Had a full day float. The temperature
was right around freezing and the wind was up and down. Shawn and I both
caught a tonne of Browns and Bow's. Video of some of Shawn's fish to come...

Max is coming to CANADA!
100 DAY WARNING!
It's only 100 days until JBFC 2010, I hope everyone has looked at getting their time off for the trip. There hasn't been much chatter about this trip and I'm starting to get concerned. Remember, this is going to be an "old school" JBFC so bring nothing but a whole lots of RELAX, and rum of course.
See ya'll in May.

Green River - DAY 1
The Green River in Utah was not on our fly fishing bucket list but I think it should have been! WHAT A TRIP! Shawn flew in from Calgary and met me in Park City on Sunday night. We got up and were on the road by 8:00, our first stop was in Heber at Four Seasons Fly Shop to pick up license and a few fly's for that evening. The guys at the shop were great and gave us some info on what sections of the river to try.
With licenses in hand we started the 4hr drive on HWY 40 to Dutch John and the Green River. The drive flew by with great snowy desert views, road kill moose, some small hick towns, and a few huge frozen reservoirs.
We made it to the outfitters fly shop around 3:00, they were excited to see us and we check into our room in the lodge. The rooms was clean and simple, two beds, TV, fridge and Microwave. We threw our bag in and headed for a section of the river named "little hole". That evening we fished until dark, fish were everywhere, nice browns to sight fish too and rainbows sipping flies all over.
We fished the F^#* out of that river with NO LUCK! We had to match this hatch, unfortunately we didn't know exactly how!
That night we drank our sorrows away and got ready for the guided float trip in the morning. Look out fish, here we come!
