JBFC 15th Anniversary, 2013!

We have hit another milestone moment in the history of the JBFC, 15 years, crazy I know.  We're all getting older except for Barrie, he's REALLY old, but still keeps up with us younger fellers so power to ya ole trout.  
Hope everyone can make it down to enjoy some fishing, drinks, tunes and laughter as always.  I've been informed that the Championship Competition can't commence until the reigning champ arrives, so you better not forget the championship belt cause you are not going back to L.E. with it this year moofasa.  Can't wait to get down there!

Lime Doser on West River

Last Sunday Phil and I went to West River, Sheet Harbor to have a fish and check out the Lime Doser that was put in the river a few years ago.  Nice day on the water but still alittle cool for the fishes.  We managed to catch a few and find some really nice stills to fish.

 

Now were Fishing!

Just having a mid day can of chilli to keep the blood flowing on a cold early day of fishing.  Now that's a tailgate party!

Are we CRAZY! Little bit I'd say.

2nd weekend into fishing season, still cold and damp, water temp @ 5 degrees.  Nothing can stop us from getting to the next possible trophy brookie location.  Thanks again Chris for a cold but awesome scouting day.

JBFC hook up with Team Canada Fly Fishing member

We'd like to thank Chris and his dad Stanley for taking getting us to some new fishing locations in the area of  the camp, thanks Chris.

JBFC 2013 date change! May 17th -20th

The JBFC will be held on May 17th to 20th this years @ River Oaks Camp in Waternish.  Lots of food, fishing, and shenanigans as usual.  Bring your buggys, rods and beers.  Looks like the bunkhouse will be useable if everything goes as planned.  Hope to see you all there.  PS-  We may have a special guest appearing @ the JBFC this year to give us all some pointers on fishing in the area, this will classified information so hush hush boys!

Bunkhouse progress!

Cal, Jay, and myself made it down to the camp last weekend for a bunkhouse work weekend and finally made some progress, or should I say Jay and Cal made the progress cause I sleep til noon on Sat.  Anyway, Jay and Cal got the ceiling vapour barriered, insulated, and boarded in, and the 3 of us almost finished the soffits but we ran out of material.  Sunday Jay and Cal wired in a few plugs and lights inside.  Its coming along nicely.
