Biggest fish 2007 "JBFC CUBA"

I don't think we have to worry about Phil winning the biggest fish trophy this year!
Look at how pissed Ryan is in the backgroung. It's OK Ryan, I've got a feeling this could be your year "partner!"

26 Day Warning!

It's only 26 days til the big show so I hope everyone got there shit together as far as dates off work and how much beer your bringing.

The duration of the biggest fish championship will start @ 5pm Friday June 26th and end July 1st @ 11am, ( to allow for championship trophy presentations)

We have Jay and Joe up to the camp we'll be fishing out of this weekend so when they get back we'll have a better idea of what we need and don't need to bring with us.

Hope everyone is getting some practice in and we hope to see all who were invited @ this years JBFC.

PS- It's never to early to start packing.

Apologizing Early

I thought I'd apolgize now for winning this years biggest fish at the JBFC 2009 before its too late and I'm doing it in the nicest way possible!

you son of a bitch

Phil doing the Barrie Reid technique

Heads Up Horning!

Ryan, I have done some research for you pre JBFC 2009. While it might take you a bit out of the way, having to drive through Fredericton, I have signed you up for lessons with other fellow ladies from around the Province. This is not only to hook you up with some New Brunswick cougars but to give you the advantage this year. They specialize in netting! Pay attention.

New Brunswick Fly Fishing Network

It took until now but through Kijiji I finally found someone in New Brunswick who wanted to talk about fly fishing and not only on the Marimachi River. I know it's a good river but fuck me.....enough already.

This looks like a bunch of good guys/girls who want to share some stories about fly fishing in New Brunswick. Why don't one of you maritimers join the party and see what you can learn.

But don't learn too much..................

Maybe Ryan could write an article "Broads With Rods" for the site about his experience at the fly fishing school in Fredericton. I bet he learns a lot about sewing, needle work, putting down husbands, how to give a proper hand job, and how to cook Rapi pie!

Maybe you'll give the article another name? "Horny Horning", "Ryan's 4 piece Rod", "How to Tie the Horny Horning Finn", "Fishing in a poodle skirt", "Chilly Beavers", "Little leaders", "Double whip estrogen cast", "Netting with Suzzy", "Dare you to drink my coke", "The 2 liter pocket dance", "Coolers, Sour Puss, and Big Fish", "Let go of my salmon", "3 out and 2 to the right", "deep holes", "Keeping the tip down", "Heavy Sinking Tip", "Under cut bank head", or maybe "Dry Fly versus Open Fly"

This man means business!

I was Fed Exed this picture of Shawn this morning of him practicing up for the 11th Annual JBFC Biggest Fish Competition. Looks like he's one of the front runners to become the first to become a 3-Time Champion of this covenant prize.

I think Shawn better watch out for Horace and Ronnie this year!
PS- This picture was sent to me from a P.I. I have watching your every fishing outing. Don't try anything stupid now Shawn, I'm watching you.

Bug Slinger

I saw an add in the new Canadian Fly Fisher for Bug Slinger and checked out their site http://bugslinger.com/cart/index.php. If we haven't already decided on the T-shirts for this year's JBFC, why don't we pick up a few of the T-shirts on sale and do them up. They look great. Please talk about it. Looks like a USA company. It would be worth a few extra bucks. The hoodie at the top right looks really cool. Mark or Ryan might want to squeeze into one of the womans shirts before they hit the sack?

I'm itching again.......

Can't be busier at work. Hate every minute! Makes me wish I was fishing. Makes me research how to kick your asses this year in NB. Doesn't stop me from sharing what I've learned. Here is a great website I found tonight. You don't have to read all of it.......

Wish I had time for some of this......

JBFC 2009 Attendees RSVP Notice

The 2009 edition of the JBFC is only 55 days away and we need a solid number of how many people will be attending for food and accommodations counts. All who plan on coming on the trip should RSVP to phil@dns.ca so we can start planning the details. Anyone who does not reply may not reap the benefits of a welcome package. We hope all invited can still attend the trip on June 26th to July 3rd.

The Taracarol Makes the news again.

The Taracarol made the Guysborough Journal on the first day of fishing season (April 1st) this year. Thank you to Still Water Slim (Bill Carpan) of River Magic for the great article!

Eyes were bigger then his stomach

I have to say I've seen fish with minnows in them but this takes the
cake! Paul P. send this email from Alberta.

"I fished Stauffer creek on Sunday and Caught a 20 incher. I also found
this 24 incher floating down the river dead. It had a foot long fish
lodged in it's mouth and died like that. I wish I'd have caught him
before he died.
