"CAUTION"

Let this be a warning to ya'll, this is what happens if you let the Wolfe's feed you beer while riding in a golf cart with Mr. Robertson all day long, then try to tackle your buddy at a camp somewhere in the backwoods of Nova Scotia.  If your lucky you won't break your leg, just your guitar.  O DEAR!

Annual Buggy Run @ the camp!

Just throwing this out there.  I think we should set a date to have a annual buggy run down @ the camp.  Once we get the bunkhouse "sleepable" we could do about a ten guys easily and I don't need to see anything about where we can run, its endless.  Lets see what everyone can come up with for a date and go from there.

Introducing The New "Porters Lake Express" a.k.a. "The Suzie Jack"

I finally broke down and bought a new to me boat, The "Porters Lake Express". Shes a 14'3 PrinceCraft Yukon with a 25 Evinrude. Can't wait to try her out this spring. A big thanks to Jay for helping me pick her up.

Christiansen's Coming Home

It's official, we are heading home July 26 - August 9, 2012. Tickets bought. We still need somewhere to stay. Probably not the whole 14 days, but a good 7-9 day stretch in the same place. Focus on the first part of the 14 days, we are looking at spending 3-4 days in PEI towards the end. We are not that picky but would like our families (both sides) to have the option to stay a night or two, either in the rental property or tent on site. It would be ideal to have somewhere on or near a beach for swimming, 3 bedrooms (sleep 6 +), and within one hour of Halifax. We can consider cabins, cottages, rent a house, etc. Please let me know what you can find. We have some options on cottages.ca but it's hard to get dates around that part of the summer (tall ships, Buskers, and great weather) and it's very expensive. Guess what 5 plane tickets just ran us? We need to try and stay cheaper than the standard (bend over) $1200 a week at the on line cottage rental properties.

Phil's parents house, Barry's house, if my parents are still in their house we might rent the one next door (but that would be very last minute), etc.

Need Your Help

Vicki and I are taking the kids home to NS in July/August for 10 days. We want to rent a cottage or house on or near a lake (for swimming) that fits all of us (2-3 rooms) and best case scenario, a place for a guest or two two visit and stay over. If not they can tent it. Within 1 hour or so of Halifax. We have to buy 5 plane tickets and rent a van, so we need to find something reasonable. Most online stuff is $1500/week. Please ask around and help us out. We have ZERO leads at this point. Most likely July 26th or 27th for 10 days.

Thanks,
Shawn

Bunkhouse work / Newfoundland trip date/ 2nd Annuanl River Oaks Jamboree etc.

I'm just trying to keep the wheels rolling on all of this action we have coming in the new year.

1st- ( Bunkhouse )Hopefully, we can at least get the decking nailed down and the walls up, lets say on the rum sampler weekend ( weather permitting ). I think we should order the lumber from down in Sheet Harbour or Sherbrooke and have it delivered to the camp. We'll price it up in the coming weeks. Also we should try and get the siding down from Phils place this same weekend. Maybe get Joes trailer again. (Feb 11th & 12th)

2nd- (Newfoundland Plans) Should set a date soon so we can all get our ducks in a row for the trip over to Tobys camp. Can't wait!

3rd- (Jamboree) All I hear from Denny, Russel and the boys is "are we doing the Sherbrooke trip again", and Barrie missed out the 1st time so here it is July 21st-22nd with a rain date of July 28th-29th. So book your tickets early cause there going fast.

4th- We also need a wood cutting and splitting day @ the camp in the spring sometime (2 4 weekend maybe)?

5th- Whos in for Stan fest this year?

here are some old pics I was searching through this morn, enjoy!
