Bow River Streamers/Salmon Rod
Had to do it. Sierra Trading Post offered me 20% off their online prices plus an additional 25% one day only. Picked up the #8 reel for $49 and the March Brown 7/8 rod for $149. Reel regular $200 and rod $499. Sweet winter deals!
The rod and reel arrived. Better than expected. Can't wait to spool on some sinking tip #8 line and get er ready for some streamer fishing. My mother arrives Monday for 3 weeks. I may hve to run into Calgary for some work one day. Just so happens the Bow river is yera round fishing and it has been above zero all month. I realize I have an addiction. At least it isn't an addiction to bowling!
I think you should take up bowling, actually you and I should start to get fat and round, drink lots of beer and rum, and eat our faces off, and take up bowling. I might as well for the amount I got out fishing this year.
I'm glad I'm not the only one keeping new posts on the site. Good job Big Shawn!
The new gear looks awesome, can't wait to try it out next year on the Blackstone!
