Louisbourg man believes he hooked record-sized brown trout (PHOTO)

LOUISBOURG – It was the big one that didn’t get away. On Saturday evening, Charlie Lahey hauled what he believes is a mammoth brown trout aboard his 14-foot aluminum boat on the Mira River, with friend Raymond Barter looking on in awe. “I just couldn’t believe how big it was,” said Lahey, a resident of Louisbourg who fishes lobster for a living.

I think the trout was caught late last week. It's soon time to get that thing on ice, i'd think! I think he has been showing it off at the NewWaterford mall, trying to pick up chicks!

I know a few cape breton girls that wouldn't mind getting smacked by a large brown trout once in a while! No boat, no scales left on the fish, no measuring scale, no measuring ruler, no way! Probabaly washed up on shore after dying at 28 years old. Sounds like a Mark story. It was this big, this long, but, but, but......
