Alberta Salmon

Not sure how you boys did this weekend on the St Mary's but it pissed me off enough that I wasn't able to join you that I had to hit the really high and dirty banks of the Red Deer River with Morrison for a few Alberta salmon. It took a while to figure out but in the end the little goofs wanted purple wooly buggers, on the bottom, and barely moving. I landed four browns over 20" and Morrison hooked into a pike. Good fun in the rain and wind. Just took the one photo with my phone.

WOW, that's a huge fish! You must be one kick ass fly fisherman. How did you ever figure out Purple Wooly Buggers were the one? You are one slick mother of a angler. I'd be very careful of you if I was attending the JBFC 2008 this year. I see large salmon and tight lines in your future.

Nice fish bud.
We should try for a few Nova Scotia Browns on the trip.
