Come on boys. Shake the dust off your gear and lets get planning for 09'. I'm hearing rumors of Alberta again. Would it be the same trip as 07' ? I'm fine with that. Or do we want to hit some where new or get Maxi back in the game and head to N.Y. again. Shawn, give us the low down on AB. and make it sound better then the 07' trip( if that's possible).

I doubt I'll have time to learn much more about this or any part of fishing in Alberta this year with two babies coming. I'd like to do it again here in 09 and consider again a fly in for an over nighter. Maybe one of the magical lakes in the mountains with float tubes? Maybe do some research on a river (or section of) like the Brazeau, Blackstone, Sunwapta, etc that we could be dropped into. The fishing on the Blackstone has gotten better since 07 as we now know the entire river from the cabin up stream and can access all of it easily. We know where to drop vehicles to prevent walking back over the same places. The river is incredible in these new sections and something you want to see. I took Riaan Kotze these on Saturday for only 4 hours of fishing and slammed 40+ fish each. Lots over 16" and 5 or so each in the 17-19 range. I'm out if NY is considered again in 08. I'd consider Northern Ontario if Jason can get his contact in line. Steve Owen is in Thunder Bay.
Correction: I'm not interested in NY in 2009.
